SENIOR ASSOICATE
Sarah Yasutake, Senior Associate, has more than two years of experience on energy and related policy issues. She provides support on a wide range of energy issues in relation to wholesale power market rules and processes.
As part of the firm’s Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) Division, Ms. Yasutake undertakes monitoring and reporting of RTO activities. She helps to translate the business and legal intricacies of RTOs into strategic planning and guidance for clients. Ms. Yasutake largely focuses her time on PJM and engages in several committees and working groups. In addition, Ms. Yasutake also provides support in the Midwest Independent System Operator (MISO) space.
Prior to joining Gabel Associates, Ms. Yasutake practiced energy law at an energy law firm in Portland, Oregon. In her role there, she represented energy customers and public utilities in state and federal regulatory and civil litigation proceedings. She also researched issues to provide legal advice to the client regarding ongoing FERC compliance filings.
In addition, Ms. Yasutake has also played a significant role in energy-related litigation.
